Reminder: School starts at 7:55am. The children meet their teacher at 7:50am and are escorted into the classroom. If your child is late please check into the office for a late pass. If your student is going to be absent please notify the school office by 9:00am. A note needs to accompany the child for re-admittance to class after the absence. If your child is late on Mass days, please take them directly to Mass.
STAR Testing: Please note that STAR testing for grades TK-8 started today and will end on September 9th. It is important that your children sleep and eat well and are dropped off on time to school. Make every effort to schedule any doctor appointments for after school.
Choice Lunch: Our new lunch program begins on Monday, August 29th. Please ensure that you register on their website www.choicelunch.com. Any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Duran.
Tiger Time: The school provides an After School Day Care Program. After school day care hours begin at 2:45pm and end at 6:00pm and noon dismissal days 12:15pm to 6:00pm. The service is provided on a monthly basis or a daily drop-in service. Forms and fees are available in the school office.
1st full day for Kindergarten: will be Monday, August 29th.
Transitional Kindergarten 1st full day: will be Tuesday, September 6th.
First student body Mass and blessing of school: will be on Wednesday, September 7th. Our presider will be Bishop Robert Barron, regional Bishop for Santa Barbara. Blessing of the school will be in the lunch area followed by Mass at 11:00am. Students must be in complete Mass day uniform. All are welcomed!
Back to School Night: September 7th at 6:30pm for grades PK-8. Please be in attendance.
Fiesta Donation: Per your family contract your mandatory Fiesta donation is due in the office on September 6, 2016 by 3:00pm. Please make checks payable to SAS PTO. Ensure that your child’s name and grade are marked on the envelope titled “Fiesta Donation”. It is very important for the success of this event that your donation is turned in on time. A late fee will be added if not turned in on time.
PE: Begins on Monday August 29th. PE uniforms may be ordered in the school office. Please submit orders by Thursday, August 25th at 3:00pm. PE schedule is as follows: Mondays 5th grade; Tuesdays Kinder, 1st and 6th; Wednesdays TK, 2nd and 7th; Thursdays Kinder, 3rd and 8th and Fridays TK and 4th.
Weekly Mass Schedule: Tuesdays: Kinder and Jr High; Wednesdays: 5th and 6th; Thursdays: 3rd and 4th, and Fridays: 1st and 2nd. Mass begins at 8:00am. If your child is late to school, please take them directly to the church.
Save the Date: St. Anthony Parish School Fall Fiesta is on October 2nd. Please look for more information in coming weeks.
After School Pick-Up: A reminder that parents should not be on cell phones while in car line. Please be cautious of children getting into cars and watching our speed. Thanks for your support!
Earthquake Kits: Please see enclosed flyer in regards to earthquake kits.
Birthday Celebrations: Brand new this year! If your child would like to celebrate their birthday with their classmates, please send a small token (cupcakes, cookies, treat bags or a healthy snack) to be distributed by the teacher the last 15 minutes of the school day. Please notify teachers so that they are prepared.
