St. Anthony Catholic School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). WCEA accredits Catholic elementary and secondary schools in nine western states (26 (arch) dioceses) and the US Territory of Guam. WCEA co-accredits and is in partnership with three Regional agencies (WASC, NAAS, NCA CASI) and two private agencies (CAIS and HAIS). WCEA began in 1957 in San Francisco and has a long and successful history of assisting school improvement through the accreditation process.

MISSION
The mission of St. Anthony School
is to use the talents that God has blessed us with to lay a
foundation of a firm and relevant faith, to provide emphasis
on academics, and to love and serve others. |
PHILOSOPHY
At St. Anthony School we try to live
as Jesus would live and to learn our lessons as best we can.
St. Anthony School recognizes each student as a child of God and
recognizes parents as the primary educator.

FLU UPDATE: We aren't playing around with the H1N1 flu! The goal of all schools is to decrease exposure to the flu and especially H1N1 without disrupting the important learning activities that go on here at school. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is monitoring the situation worldwide and sending me updates almost daily. We want to be as strong and vigilant as possible, so that our community remains as healthy as possible through the flu season. This means we have to demand the following:
Stay home when sick: Children with flu-like illness should stay home for at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever, or signs of a fever, without the use of fever-reducing medicines. They should stay home even if they are using antiviral drugs. Also, stay home 24 hours after the cough has stopped.
Hand washing and mouth covering: We all have to wash our hands as often as possible and cover our mouths when we sneeze or cough. The elbow sneeze and shirt sneeze are the BEST!
Clean, clean, clean! We'll do our best to keep the school clean, but the rest of the world is pretty dirty. Keep handy wipes in your car so you can use them after going to the store or getting gas.
Separate ill students: Students who appear to have flu-like illness should be sent to an area separate from others until they can be sent home.
You too can stay informed by checking out www.cdc.gov... But it is most important that you STAY HEALTHY!
Mrs. Cottam will be in the computer lab on Thursday mornings at 8:15 for parents who need help setting up an email account and or accessing Teacher Ease. She will also be talking about SCRIP.
