August 26, 2014 Announcements

Morning Drop off: Please be reminded that there is no parking between the basketball courts during morning drop off. If you would like to park and walk your student in please enter through the Maywood St. gate and exit through the same gate. This is for the safety of our children. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Reminder: School Starts at 7:55am. The Children meet their teacher at 7:50am and are escorted into the classroom. If your child is late please check into the office for a late pass. If your student is going to be absent please notify the school office by 9:00am. A note needs to accompany the child for re-admittance to class after the absence. If your child is late on Mass days, please take them directly to Mass.

1st full day for Kindergarten: will be Tuesday, September 2nd.

Back to School Night: September 3rd at 6:00pm for grades K-8. We will meet in the Msgr. Condon Center.

Fiesta Donation: Per your family contract your mandatory Fiesta donation is due in the office on September 2, 2014 by 3:00pm. Please make checks payable to SAS PTO. Ensure that your child's name and grade are marked on the envelope titled "Fiesta Donation". It is very important for the success of this event that your donation is turned in on time.

Visitors on Campus: It is very important that if you are visiting our campus to please sign in at the office and get a visitor's badge. It is for the safety of our children. Thank you!! Uniform Policy: Please remember to follow the Uniform Policy that is outlined for our school. All students are required to wear athletic shoes. Thank you for your continued support in this matter!

PE: Uniforms may be purchased in the front office. Please see enclosed the new schedule of PE for your children. PE begins on September 2nd.

Save the Date: St. Anthony Parish School Fall Fiesta is on October 5th. Please look for more information in coming weeks.

Just a reminder: that your child is not allowed to have soda during lunchtime. As a staff we found it to be in the best interest of your child to have juice, water or milk during lunch.

After School Pick-Up: A reminder that parents should not be on cell phones while in car line. Please be cautious of children getting into cars and watching our speed. Thanks for your support!

Fall Raffle Tickets: are in today's packet. Per your family contract you are to sell 150 tickets. Unsold tickets will be added to your SMART Account.

Altar Servers: are needed to serve for all the Sunday Liturgies (English and Spanish) and school Masses. This ministry is open to students in 3rd grade or above and has received their First Holy Communion. Please let the front office know if you are interested.

New Lunch Schedule: our lunch schedule has changed this year to 12:10pm to 12:40pm. Students in grades 5-8 will eat first and students in grades 1-4 will eat second. This will allow for every student to eat comfortably. Please take note of this change.

Earthquake Kits: Please see enclosed flyer in regards to earthquake kits.

Yearly Calendar: Enclosed you will find the calendar for the year. Dates and times are subject to change. Please keep this in a safe place for referencing.

Social Networking and Emails: Please take this time to go over with your students the privileges and responsibility of having facebook and email accounts. It is important that as parents you have access to these accounts and monitor what your students are posting.

  • Tuesday – Kindergarten & Junior High (7th grade & 8th grade)
  • Wednesday – 5th grade & 6th grade
  • Thursday – 3rd grade & 4th grade
  • Friday – 1st grade and 2nd grade
